Initially, I was drawn to Christ’s divine power, imagining His life effortless—able to heal with a single word, like a real-life superhero. But as I reflected on His humanity, I was deeply humbled. From His birth in a humble stable to facing the same temptations, shame, and rejection we all experience, His humanity became strikingly clear. Despite all this, He never sinned, providing us with an example of strength and resilience.

As I reflected on His unwavering devotion, especially on His journey to the cross, I was confronted with my own selfishness. Where I often complain when life doesn’t go my way, Christ endured unimaginable suffering with grace and focus. This portrait serves as a reminder that, while He performed miracles, He was also one of us—a perfect embodiment of strength, humility, and devotion in the face of suffering.

Each brushstroke reveals Christ not only as a figure of power but as a symbol of grace and perseverance. His humanity speaks louder than His miracles, offering strength and inspiration in my own struggles.

"Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited. Instead he emptied himself by assuming the form of a servant, taking on the likeness of humanity. And when he had come as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death— even to death on a cross." Philippians 2: 5-8
