TRUTH | Fauvism
As I began to grow in my faith, I found myself overwhelmed by the complexities of history, doctrine, and denominations. It was dizzying, and soon my mind spiraled into confusion once again. The weight of all this information shut down my desire to seek God, much like when I was a child. I wondered, why does religion have to be so complicated? Will I ever truly understand it all?
Through this painting, God gently reminded me to return to the basics. Just as Fauvist artists simplified their work by focusing on bold colors and stripped-down forms, Jesus calls us to shed the layers of complexity, striving, and self-reliance. He invites us to embrace His simple message. At its core, Christianity isn’t about mastering historical details, religious laws, or denominations. It’s about accepting the simple, profound truth that salvation is a gift—a gift we don’t earn through works or rituals, but simply receive through faith in Jesus Christ.
"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to Me, and don’t stop them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'" Matthew 19:14
