TRUTH | Abstract

I paused working on my previous painting until clarity and direction came through God’s living Word. At the time, my family and I were attending a church that provided black hardcover Bibles, which was a good starting point for thumbing through the pages and getting acquainted. But it wasn’t until I fully committed to reading with perseverance that I began to gain true wisdom. The connection finally began to happen, and the Bible came to life!

Like an abstract painting, the Bible at first felt unclear and fragmented, just black and white shapes with no clear meaning. But as I persisted, I started seeing the bigger picture. Through continued engagement with God’s Word, the words began to transform me, not just in my thoughts but in my heart. In a world full of distractions, counterfeits, and noise, I’m grateful to have found the unshakeable truth. Without the Word, how else will we know which way to go?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it.” John 1: 1-4
